Exemplary Rice

Exemplary Rice is the choicest Chih Shang rice grains from Taiwan, its large grains are highly glutinous, and the texture causes a pleasant sensation during ingestion. This grain is grown by the winner of the First National Rice Championship Mr Chiu Chui-Chang, who is hailed as the “president of the kingdom of rice”. Mr Chiu diligently developed the scientific method of rice planting, making daily field trips and recording the progress of growth. He then analyzed the precise data and established operation timetables, expecting the continuous hard work to result in the most superb rice. Champion Rice is grown by Mr Lin Long-Shan, he is nicknamed “rice god” and the winner of the Third National Rice Championship, and his rice is known for its crystalline and rotund granule. Mr Lin has farmed in the rice fields of the Amis Aborigines in the Chih Shang Township for 31 years. He has happily inherited the symbiotic spirit of the Amis people to embrace and thrive with the surrounding nature, and has tended to his rice with care and concern. He has cherished the gift of the abundant earth, thus bringing forth this sensational quality rice.
